Two proposals to identify new substances of very high concern (SVHCs)
The substances and examples of their uses are:
- Bis(α,α-dimethylbenzyl) peroxide (EC 201-279-3)
This substance is used in products such as pH-regulators, flocculants, precipitants and neutralisation agents.
- Triphenyl phosphate (EC 204-112-2)
This substance is used as a flame retardant and plasticiser in polymer formulations, adhesives and sealants.

Member States will finalise the 2023 substance evaluation for six substances on 21 March 2024

Reports for the following substance groups are now available on our website:
Deodorizer distillates - Pyrrolidines, piperidines and azepanes
- Benzene derivatives with branched aliphatic substituents
- Cycloalkenes of not-natural origin
- Member States vote to restrict PFHxA in the EU
CLP:
Consultations on harmonised classification and labelling
We are looking for comments on the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) proposals for:
- 2-ethylhexyl (2E)-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)acrylate (EC -, CAS 83834-59-7);
- 2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-p-cresol (EC 219-470-5, CAS 2440-22-4);
- Reaction products of diphenylamine with nonene, branched (EC -, CAS -); and
- benzenamine, N-phenyl-, reaction products with 2,4,4-trimethylpentene (EC 270-128-1, CAS 68411-46-1).
